After playing both versions of conquest, I believe the closed weapons is the better of the two. I've seen a lot more variety of choice in weapons picked, I have an actual reason to play another class more often. I thought the open choice would be more diverse in selection, but it was the other way around. Having the weapons closed also makes the game feel more like battlefield and I started having a lot more fun. Hopefully this stays for the actual launch.
Yeah the restrictive nature of classes promotes class diversity. The choice to move away from this always baffled me.
I really hope they choose closed weapons..
How about letting people play what they wanna play? And stop dictating them?
You can close your weapon choices and play ONE way, if that's what you find funny.
But stop forcing it on others.

Closed weapons create more teamwork. Other way is to take support , take a sniper rifle and do not add value to the team and just be a nuisance to the opposing team, which in both sides are annoying.
And if the support wants to play that way, who are you to forcing him to play the way YOU want?
Do you understand that?
Let people play the way they want.
Open v closed for me one thing that may happen is this will seriously split the players database. In which you cannot get a full lobby in open or closed. Closed for me is bf. Not sure why the devs have picked to have open. Are we moving away from true bf
They have literally mentioned the reason.
Which is, that you are not alone in this game.
And there are MANY people, who likes to have varieties, options.
It's as simple, as that.

It is not what I want. The game is built this way - notice when your team plays as a team and doing the objectives instead of 32 individuals - you usually win. Battefield is not about chasing kills.
In my experience in bf3, bad company 2 - even if you had a terrible game (score wise) but there was teamplay, it was always fun.
I agree, everyone always has the same weapons, you have to leave them closed and by class.
