If they added counter knifing that had animations and different combinations of random buttons to hit in order to counter but...they'd keep going if you countered a counter. I'm talking watching John Wick doing wet work on prey with skill... it won't end until a player screws up or something else kills you or the enemy in a ECQC (EXTREME CLOSE QUARTERS COMBAT) .

You get knifed, you counter, he counters, you counter back and forth with different button combinations in order to counter... endless animation or a really long loop that could reset when they scuffle animation continues.
