Matchmaking for Clans or groups is absolut garbage! Bring back Serverbrowser!

Matchmaking for clans or groups of more than 4 people is garbage! We've been playing as a clan since BF1942. We recently played BF5 weekly because we didn't like BF2042. The BF6 beta is heading in the right direction, but why the hell isn't there a server browser? And what's even worse, why does the system use matchmaking to search for a new server every round? There are over 20 people in our clan and we often play with 8 people in the evening. After our tests, we get split up after every round and end up on different servers because only 4 people can be in a party at a time! We made BF great! We rented servers for real money for years so the community could play. With matchmaking for everyone and this, you're kicking our **bleep**! Please add a server browser and ensure that we can play as a community on one server in the evenings. The way it was until BF5 was wonderful. Nobody wants a new matchmaking session after every round. If a clan member joins a server via a friend join, they're also kicked out of the queue when the round ends. What's with this console garbage? We want to play together, even against friendly clans. Don't come at us with Portal, we want to play All Out Warfare together too! Again, we clans made the BF series what it was before BF2042!

Absolutely agree – you’ve summed up exactly what’s frustrating so many long-time Battlefield players.

The lack of a server browser, the 4-player party limit, and the constant matchmaking between rounds make it almost impossible for larger groups or clans to stay together. For years, Battlefield thrived because communities and clans could stick together on one server, build rivalries, and create lasting memories. That’s part of what made the series special since BF1942.

Right now, this matchmaking system feels like it’s pushing away the very players who supported Battlefield for decades – renting servers, building communities, and keeping the game alive between releases. We don’t want to be split up after every round; we want the freedom to join and stay on a server with our friends, even in All Out Warfare, just like we could up until BF5.

A proper server browser and support for larger parties would go a long way in bringing back that true Battlefield experience.

Dude its a beta. I'm sure they will jave server browsers for the main game in October. I do understand what you're saying. Also can I join your clan 👀

  • I agree with Peacemaker80

There is a need for a server browser and dedicated (community) servers in BF6. Battlefield was a community driven game, where community's and clans played together. Where clan-wars were fought and silly machinema's were made. Dedicated server admins did a far better job at scooping out foul play and cheaters than any automated system.

Reintroduce official dedicated server rental with admintools to manage them and give us something like Battlelog as server browser, squad management and stats website. Let us choose a server based on our preferences, players, and/or game modes, so we can play with more than 4 friends together or eventually get to know other regular players and become part of a broader community.

it's just ONLY a 2024 update I have to cantantize after 20 hours of beta testing. Nothing else. There is no response to community wishes, the proximity to COD, Frontnite is sought, the stock market counts for EA. So unfortunately nothing new, I'm waiting for BF12

  • I think I'm getting old.

If the developers don't understand why we want a server browser and dedicated servers, then they don't understand that Battlefield was a community-driven game... I made lifelong friends by playing on a community server before joining their clan. More than 20 years later, we still play together every week. Nowadays, it's impossible to keep playing with the same people or on the same server. Let alone get to know new people or become a part of a community.

    That's a shame.
    But that's life, I guess.

Also, will leave this video by JackFrags here:
