Option to equip knife with a press rather than hold?

I would like to see this option either as a hold/toggle option or a separate keybind.

I find it very frustrating to have to hold to get the knife out or try and time my knife key I usually end up fumbing the keys. 

For me it would be get to just pull the knife out with one press and click left mouse to attack.
