Option to Join Friend's/Party's Match=

It is so frustrating to try and join a friends game/match. When I join party when the other party member is in a game, sometimes I will be placed in an auto queue, other times I wont. And if I'm not placed in a queue, I cannot find an option to join a queue to join my friend's match.
