Passive (AUTO) spotting need to go COMPLETELY from this game.

The point of spotting was never to spot an enemy that you're already shooting it, it was to bring awareness of their position to teammates no matter what their position is.

If thats the case wouldn't it be better to share spotting with your squad only, rather then the entire team. You also have UAV for everyone else which makes this abilities kind of redundant. And if We set motion sensor it just feels like over kill specially when the maps are so small

Exaxtly! At first I was wondering why I was constantly getting killed behimd smoke. Auto spotting makes no sense and should be eliminated. It ruins the so called recon the want to call to but there's no recon about it if you get spot immediately after someone seeing you.  

No I think they should just go to the roots; why change something that has been a staple in a battlefield game. You spot enemies manually and only your squad can see it. If they're gonna expand it, then like you said, only the people who are near by. However, in 2 way battle where many players are cluttered up, all will see the spot, so its not good for the whole team to see because many might he near, so its best for just the squad. If it ain't broken, don't change it.

They had this in 2042 too where one of the, for lack of better terms, operators would passively spot an enemy if he was shot by them.  I think a good compromise would be that passive spots would reveal their location on the mini-map but not in the actual game's UI if that makes sense. Not sure if I articulated that well but essentially it would require more game sense and map awareness because plenty of folks don't pay attention to the minimap. The only issue I see with this is how ineffective it would be during Hardcore where the HUD is completely removed. However that wouldn't be the only ability affected by loss of HUD (Recon's UAV)

In 2042 that spotting ability is pointless in regular games cause you don't share it with anyone, just a point maker. In hardcore mode is very helpful as it places a deem red chevron over the enemies spotted so you have to be really looking for it or you might miss it. Worst case scenario they need to deem those red dots (a lot)

Still though I like your idea of only showing on the mini map (not sure if i would prefer a steady or blinking red dot). i hope they bring back the option to change the zoom option on the mini map. As for hard core mode, a very deem marker would do (if you are hiding in bushes you shouldn't be able to see the markers at all) hopefully that would take care of cheap shot.

This trait breaks the game for me. Spotting needs to go. 

This is getting seriously annoying now.

3d spotting is fine but you should have to manually press the spot button.

Thus auto spotting is disgusting, doesn't matter what gun you have just scan the horizon and boom enemies spotted, it's broken.

The only time you should be spotted automatically is if you run near a tugs or the drone, that's it, every other type of spotting should require you press the spot button.

Running a suppressor is pointless, might aswell remove them.

Everytime I try to spot someone the game hasn't auto spotted it doesn't work lol

Seeing a sniper glint 200m away, I try to spot and it comes back "munition crate spotted" it's that bad

Also aim assist for controllers makes this worse because the aim assist will move and spot people for you, like I said it's broken.
