Pinging downed friendlys

So i want to start by saying that Im a medic main so this probably doesn't matter to a lot of people. I always try my best to revive my teammates and keep them in the fight, but a lot of the time you can get yourself in a sketchy situation and need a second to get over to your teammate and a lot of those times they think that Im not on my way even though I am and once Im finally over their body they have given up and gone back to respawn. Now i know that there is an option to ping them but in my opinion its extremely finicky and i more often than not am just pinging the wall in front of me. I want to bring up the pinging from BF1 since there it was perfect and i never struggled to ping my teammate and was pinging multiple at a time to let them know i was on the way. This is a small issue but to me its rather annoying. I hope someone else sees this the same way i do.
