Post Open Beta Weekend 1 Feedback

Loved the BF6 beta and wanted to give my feedback on things that should be improved, or sustained for the next weekend and eventual release. 

 

System played on: PC, 5060ti GPU, 32G RAM, Ryzen 7 CPU

Improves:

  • The menu UI is just so cluttered and a bit overwhelming.
  • Weird Bug when trying to change crouch buttons. Default button will ALWAYS make you crouch no matter what you do. 
  • Breakthrough is heavily favored in the defenders advantage to the point attackers will never win (really only with the first points). Attackers need either more tickets, or have defenders spawn further back on the first point. Liberation peak is especially bad with the fact snipers can shoot into attackers spawn. 
  • More ammo for Assault. The hard charging class is limited to 3 magazines not including the 1 in the weapon. They should atleast have 4 or 5 additional mags. 
  • Since skins will be added in the game, they should be color coded to match the faction they are on. (Pax Armata camo for their soldier skins and NATO camos for theirs) Also allowing players to choose race and gender of their soldiers would be welcome. It was a feature in BFV that saw controversy due to the WWII setting but in a Modern Fictional setting, I don’t see it as causing any issues. 
  • Helicopter physics need to return to their BF4 settings. The Apache feels slow to respond to my inputs. (could be a button/controller layout issue)  
  • ground vehicle physics need to return to previous games as well, in particular the GMV jeep feels like driving an aircraft carrier. 
  • vehicle default should be 1st person
  • Bug when spawning in taking damage from seemingly nothing. 
  • bug when placing equipment, equipment would not be placed but would vanish from inventory
  • No voice wheel when in vehicles
  • Squad join system bug where one player or neither player in a lobby will be inserted into the next game forcing them to back out and start a new game.
  • When making a squad before matchmaking, the lobby host should be SL and should remain that so that they can kick or add players and friends to their session as they see fit without needing to leave and start a new lobby.
  • slow sniper aim time 
  • reduce range of shotguns
  • larger maps
  • allow players to spawn directly into vehicles at match start 
  • increased damage AOE for hand grenades and 40mm grenades 

Sustains: 

  • Destruction feels impactful and is a ton of fun
  • Weapon recoil and handling feels good, attachments have meaningful and noticeable affects
  • default character skins look perfect and ground the game well. 
  • Vehicles are strong but infantry have plenty of options to defeat them. 
  • Closed conquest is perfect. 
  • scope glint is great 
  • the new highlighting of where the person killed you WAS is a great improvement over continuously highlighting where they ARE.
  • Spawning system is great and including cameras on spawn beacons and flags is a great addition to the game. 
  • Core movement and gameplay loop is crisp, responsive, and enjoyable
  • Action is fast paced and also team oriented! 
  • Opening little cinematic are cool and a welcome addition
  • Best squad and your squad end cards are also great and should be kept in
  • Lack of SBMM is perfect and every match felt fun! 
  • Battle chaos was a blast and I enjoyed playing with friends as firefights got hectic with explosions and such all around! 

These are just some of the things I personally noticed and also would like to see changed, added, or kept in the game!
