Problems i noticed so far with the battlefield 6 beta

While playing the beta, I kept running into the same problems over and over. These aren’t one-off moments — they kept happening in real matches and they impact gameplay balance, performance, and the overall player experience.

1. Movement speed – Sprint and strafe speeds are noticeably higher than in BF4/BFV, resulting in shorter engagement times and reduced tactical pacing. Side-by-side testing confirms faster traversal across identical map distances.

2. Time-to-kill (TTK) – Current weapon damage values allow most automatic rifles and SMGs to eliminate players in under 0.5 seconds at close to medium range. This is significantly faster than in past Battlefield titles, reducing counter-play opportunities.

3. Spawn system – Multiple instances of spawning in direct line of sight of enemies, in open terrain without cover, or far from objectives. These spawns consistently lead to immediate deaths or wasted time repositioning.

4. Performance & stability – Frame rate drops, stuttering, and occasional crashes observed on PC (high-end and mid-tier hardware) and consoles. Input latency spikes during heavy combat sequences.

5. Mini-map placement – The current mini-map is in a bad spot. You have to take your eyes off the action to look at it, which can cost you in a fight. Moving it to the top-right corner would make it much easier to glance at without losing focus.

6. Audio clarity - Footstep audio is inconsistent; enemies can approach undetected at close range, while distant steps are sometimes over-amplified. This directly affects situational awareness.

7. Vehicle balance – Certain vehicles absorb excessive damage relative to available infantry counter-weapons in the beta, leading to prolonged farming of infantry with limited risk.

8. Sniper quick-scoping – Current ADS speed for sniper rifles allows close-range quick-scoping, giving them an unintended advantage in CQC and reducing their intended long-range role.

Recommendation: Prioritize adjustments to movement speed, TTK, spawn logic, and vehicle balance before launch. Resolve performance instability and audio inconsistencies. Relocate the mini-map to improve HUD usability, and rework sniper ADS times to eliminate quick-scoping in close-quarters engagements.
