Small Bits and Pieces #Feedback
I’ve played battlefield for a long time and 4 was probably where I spent most of my time so I’ve probably got a lot of bias. That said, bf6 beta was a solid home run in my opinion but there are some small adjustments I’d like to see or be talked about to some degree.
- Repair Tool: it’s such a small thing, but the repair tool used to be able to break holes into concrete barricades which would make nice ambush points and open safer sight lines. It was always such a small but amazing detail to use it outside of its standard ability.
- Flight controls: maybe it’s the way the new vehicles are, but I kinda wish the mobility and feeling for bf4 vehicles came back. I’ve messed with the settings but nothing in there will ever take away the feeling of them being really stiff. (Maybe that’s not the right word)
- Kill Boundaries: While I think it does provoke some realism, it’s really unsportsmanlike to be able to climb ontop of the roofs and have a clear advantage point over everyone else. I do believe there should be kill boundaries on the roofs so that people can’t abuse those angles. lib. Peak could probably use a couple boundaries on the center mountain too.
- Transport heli and other support vehicles: I know that it’s just a beta and it’s not gonna have everything. I just am hoping that transport vehicles like in bf3 make a come back. Like just standard humvs or transport helis. The maps we saw weren’t really large enough for them but I hope to see in the future. Cause walking a lot from the spawn can be a bit agonizing when all the vehicles are full and you are forced to spawn right away.
- Bigger Maps: like before I know the beta isn’t gonna show everything off right away. But I do hope to see larger scale maps with awesome diversity. There was one map on BF3 (damavan peak) where in rush you had to take a mountain point then parachute to the next area and that gave me a core memory. Even in conquest that was awesome! I hope to see it return or something like it! Even driving the humv off the cliff on that map was memorable!
- Wall registration: on certain maps there’s invisible walls that originally existed but once they were destroyed they didnt really go away. Visually they were gone but the bullets couldn’t go through the area. That one roof (the one on C objective you can access on purpose on the sandy map with the overpass) has a bit of a problem with that. In think it had a AC unit on it for reference.
- OG map returns: I’d love to see some original maps from those franchises make a return also! I’d even pay money for them but idk how the logistics would work with whether you’d have enough people to play them if they were paid for content. Some of my favorites were Op metro, siene crossing, siege of Shanghai, and gulf of Oman! I know I saw firestorm in the trailer which is so hype! Hope to see more!
Battlefield is my childhood and I was kinda pushed away when they started distancing themselves from modern warfare. I enjoyed 1s tide turning massive vehicles like the blimps but I never got into the ascetic (this isn’t a criticism it’s an opinion). With that said, 2042 stripping classes away made me feel ostracized from bf in general. I really hope bf6 can bring out the most memorable and best qualities out of BF3 and BF4 and really bring back those original (only in battlefield moments). So far so good! Really proud and happy with everything! You guys did so good!
