The sniper feels so weak

Yeah, I understand hitting a headshot, but it’s not always possible, often I hit upper torso, feels like I’m hitting them with a napkin from a little kids birthday party, anyway, I hit them centre mass, go for a finish with a pistol and I’m melted by someone who has taken barely any damage, maybe taking it from 60 dmg to 80? Would significantly improve the weapon overall.
