True but it’s because maps are smaller, jets are useless flying pool noodles, and helis are flying yachts so the air seems irrelevant to the battlefield. The only thing they are good for is cinema. The tanks are limited to flighting in urban environments where they just gets jumped by players in buildings. The vehicles of this game seem like not a non factor compared to previous titles. In battlefield 3 and 4 and even 5 vehicles were a massive part of the game and they almost felt like killstreaks.
I always liked how the vehicles played their part in previous battlefield games. In BF4 I always felt they were well balanced on the maps they were available most of the time.
In BF1 the vehicles became a lot easier to master although they didn’t really seem to be a huge deciding factor in most modes/maps, apart from operations. In that mode I kinda felt the vehicles were not really able to play their part properly unless you had good players controlling them.
In BFV…well, in a way it was similar to BF1, although the balance started to become off in certain maps/modes.
BF2042…oh boy, the vehicles were the worst. Not necessarily in the way of controlling them, but just the sheer number of vehicles in any given moment. And don’t get me started on the hovercrafts scaling sides of the skyscrapers.
So I hope they have come to their senses and bring the vehicles back to normality so I can actually enjoy playing Battlefield again without getting annoyed by the vehicles all the time…whether I’m controlling one or facing one.
fingers crossed they get this right at, and after launch. 🤞
