Hey mate, I appreciate the detail you’ve put into your feedback. You’ve raised some strong points, and it’s clear you care about what made Battlefield special — especially BF3 and BF4. A lot of long-time fans feel the same.
That said, just adding my thoughts with a bit of perspective:
The game is still in beta, and launch is over two months away (October 10). What we’re seeing now might not represent the final product. Battlefield 1 and BFV changed quite a bit between beta and release, and this could be the same.
On the sound design — agreed, it feels flatter and more arcade-like than the gritty, layered soundscape of BF3 and BF4. Your example of the shootout from Heat is exactly the kind of sound profile Battlefield used to nail. Hopefully they’re still refining that, especially echo effects in closed environments.
UI-wise, yeah, it feels like they’re borrowing from COD and Tarkov. Some of that might be trend-following to attract a broader base, but I agree the BF4 loadout screen was fast, clear, and didn’t need fixing. A classic UI toggle would be a great option.
Vehicle camera switching was definitely better in BF4. Instant, smooth, and less nauseating. Noticed the missing thermal too — fingers crossed that’s still being implemented.
Animations and movement also feel off. BF4 had more natural human motion and a grounded feel. BF6 (in beta) looks and moves more like a twitch shooter. I get why they’d want faster pacing, but it does lose a bit of the Battlefield identity.
Test Range — 100 percent agree. The BF4 island was the gold standard. Not just for weapons but for getting hands-on with vehicles too.
Final verdict — I think your concerns are totally valid. It’s just also worth keeping in mind this is not final. If DICE really listens to this kind of community feedback and adjusts, we could still end up with something great.
Appreciate you taking the time to share a solid breakdown. Let’s see how things evolve before launch.
Cheers
