I need to choose All-Out Warfare mode for this, which not only includes conquest, but also gives your vote towards the Open Weapon mode, which is not what I want
Give us separate modes! Regular Custom Search doesn't work
I was thinking the same thing, they leave custom on but take out rush and breakthrough.
It was a reason for me to quit 2042 every time they removed a fun gamemode, you had fun for 1 week then had to go dormant till you got lucky on the gamemode selection
there was an atk/def gamemode the other day, rush and breakthrough. One is 12vs12 the other 24vs24 how is that even considered to be a similar gamemode.
Yeah! Chance to get into Attack for Rush/Breakthrough is already low. As a downside, we're also voting against our will for open weapon, if we want to play rush
"Breakthrough Rush" should also work for defenders
If enemies captured 2 sectors out of 5, you get 3 poits. Even Junior game designer would've understood how to make this challenge good
And on top of that now you forced to play conquest or Squad deathmatch and small maps taking the whole fun out the game for today
The custom search for Rush worked for me. It took 2-5mins to find a game. I don’t think we should have to search for Rush or Conquest. It should have its own tab.
Thursday they had a dedicated rush game mode, so I didn't bother with the challenge at first, as I thought it'd be there. I noticed No breakthrough and thought weird they have that challenge now (as breakthrough was on last weekend) but no breakthru, but maybe they want everyone in on rush. And if breakthru was there one can kill two birds with one stone . . . Then friday, rush is gone from the roster as well, replaced by death squad mode. I kinda panicked cuz, how can I get it with no mode, but saw custom could find those games.
The custom option for rush and breakthrough also takes 5+ minutes (though sometimes I'd get in sooner, three times). And sometimes it gives a lemon (like a random conquest or domination etc) but that was like once (conquest of course, and that Kings Landing map).
So this is where the issue is. Out of 20 custom game modes that were selected rush and breakthrough (not counting the rando conquest). I got rush once, had attacker, and we get one sectors then stalled. The rest were breakthrough. 1 time of breakthrough I was attacker side, and same as before we only capped 2 and 1 sector. Then 18 times breakthrough was on defense. And the worst is I kept noticing same user names (because either it was funny / weird or that person was so good I was killed 10X + by them and basically target shooting for them) on the attacker side.
I got frustrated so back to conquest I went.
To add salt to the wound, is 1st weekend and early access had breakthrough mode, and that mode essentially, I was getting 50% - 50% attacker and defender. If the challenge was available then, it would have been straight forward.
Also for most of thurs night and this morning was on open all out war, but breakthrough never showed up, just conquest.
Hopefully they fix it for the weekend.
How stupid can you be to make a challenge just for attackers? Then you can't even select the game mode individually, and if you do find a game, you're on the defense side...
After I realized that I have to select Rush and Breakthrough via "Custom Game", after that, I became defender 3 times in a row. Please give us back the dedicated game modes! Thanks! <3
I am also on the WTF EA bandwagon on this one. I would love to do that challenge, but I've gotten defend every time I've tried to play the mode. Challenge denied!
