So far I've noticed it's a lot of 32 v 32, or 8 v 8, but what I'm wanting to know is if we will see large scale conquest and other large scale modes which will feature 64 v 64.
Absolutely loving the game so far, and 32 players feels really good, maybe it's just me being greedy and wanting more people running around.
What a horrible idea. It's already a meatgrinderfest with way too small maps and high pacing. Its because of people like you that we got an abomination **bleep** 2042 with 128 player maps.
There's a sweetspot in how many players there should be playing a certain game mode or a certain map. This directly translates to the pacing of the game. It's made very clear already that the pacing in battlefield 6 is way too high because of too small maps and too many players.

The answer is no. The developer have already confirmed that the max will be 64 players for the base game. Perhaps the BR that comes later will feature more but little is known about that yet.
64 players max is perfect! If BF2042 has taught us anything is that more not always means better.
Tbh I agree, I think in my mind it means bigger maps and bigger matches, but I suppose so far 64 max does feel good and doesn't feel empty. I can find people pretty quickly.

Tbh, I loved some of the big maps with 128 ppl in them.. With separate fighting hotspots on the map.. I have been playing since the original BF1942..skipped none of them. I am not new. But I would have preferred 1 large 64/64 map on the new one. Like orbital, I loved that one.
Portal should include the option to create 128 player games ( I say should because I have no idea if it will).
I know a lot of people said it was terrible in 2042 (I never played it) but it sounds like it was due to poor implementation/map design. There are games that do it well such as Planetside 2 and Hell Let Loose. I would love to see a mode like HLL with a Commander and obtainable resources needed for spawning vehicles around the map. They also have a mode like Breakthrough that I think would work really well. They would need large maps designed specifically for this but that would be FAR more appealing to me than a Battle Royale. I don't think it fits this games design with the gadgets and vehicles. Does anyone actually want another BR??

Everyone points to 2042, but the problem with 2042 is that everything was horrible about that game and it's still unfinished to this day. IMO it's not the player count, it's the map design was bad in 2042.

the standard is 32 vs 32 but their maps are designed with 128 players in mind which could imply customisable options in the portal as well.
There has not been any official confirmation that I'm aware of about the 64 vs 64 but that doesn't rule it out with the larger maps releasing. You'll probably be able to filter out which game mode and player counts you want to search for. The only thing i knew that was official was the 32 vs 32 during the open beta for conquest specifically.
