The bluish colour filter has to be to be removed from all maps

This bluish colour filter in Liberation Peak and Empire State is too intense so it makes the picture look dull, lifeless and cheap there. Just look at the game screenshots restored to natural look vs. the original ones:

This colour correction includes increased contrast value as well which makes the bright scenes look too bright, while the darker scenes look too dark, so it causes eye fatigue. It makes the textures look less detailed and make the enemies harder to spot.

The Iberian Offensive had less intense blue colour filter, so it looked not so dull  and didn't cause so much eye fatigue either. The Siege of Cairo has the most natural look, so I liked it the most of all 4 maps there. So I believe colour correction should be completely reworked for Liberation Peak and Empire State (and any other map which has the similar colour filter) to make it less dull and fatiguing, while looking more natural instead.

Thanks Vic's Corner channel for exposing this issue.

  • I like a bit of color correction to give each area its own identity and deeper atmosphere, but crushed blacks are unacceptable. Especially if you have a mid/high end TV or monitor that can properly display near-black details, it just makes your display look broken compared to most content. I'd tone down the color correction by half, and have accurate blacks.
