Zero footstep noise

I’m a loan player as I’m sure a lot of BF players are and as we’re not on comms with friends we need good sound awareness to keep us alive. I’ve played the beta for the last 4 days and the one major complaint I have is I cannot hear any enemy footsteps. ZERO. Of course when I’m dead I can hear the enemy run away as if he’s got high heels on a wooden floor but beforehand when he’s ran through rubble, I hear nothing.
