Beta Issues [Bugs]
I'll do my best to keep this as concise as possible...
I logged 45 hours into the beta and ranked each weapon to level 20. This is a compilation of all of my notes, concerns, and bugs/issues that I think should be mentioned or discussed. I haven't been an avid Battlefield player since Bad Company 2, but I am an FPS enthusiast, so some of these may come across as someone unfamiliar with Battlefield. I would like to start off by saying I had an absolute blast playing these last few days and I very much look forward to the official launch, but I am going to be harsh with my evaluations in hopes to provide honest and useful feedback.
For reference, my PC Specs are listed below.
GPU: 2080 Ti
VRAM: 11GB
CPU: i9-9900K
RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600
OS: W10 Home
Installed on 2TB SSD
BUGS/ISSUES
Some of these may have already been brought to light, but these are the "bugs" I noticed and I thought I would list them all on the off chance they weren't mentioned yet.
Deployable Cover/Spawn Beacon
I have noticed that if you try to place these on somewhat irregular surfaces, even though the indicator is white, the object is "placed" and then immediately disappears. In most cases, this consumes the ability without placing the gadget.
Floating Terrain
In some cases, as the environment is destroyed, certain things remain floating in the air creating awkward engagements. I've noticed this the most with the scaffolding on Siege of Cairo (some of the wood planks remain in the air) and the plant boxes on Iberian Offensive (the plant box will be destroyed but the flowers are still floating).
"Dead"
I only just noticed this in the last few hours of the final day, so I'm not sure exactly what triggers it but I believe it happens after being revived. In some cases, I noticed my name in the squad list is just displayed as "Dead" instead of my gamer tag. It shows correct on the scoreboard and it did not correct itself upon actually dying and redeploying.
Artifacting
For those who don't know, Artifacting is when your game/display is assaulted by visual anomalies (usually in the form of rapidly moving polygons). This was happening fairly often and it was impossible to determine what was actually causing it.
Quit to Menu
There were several occasions where the "Quit to Menu" button would be completely unresponsive. This typically only happened when I was the party leader, and I found that in most cases those who were not party leader could quit to menu without issue.
