BF6 View blocking

Hello everyone, I've been experiencing a bug since this morning when the Battlefield 6 beta was launched.

The problem: My view is stuck at the bottom, and I can't move it up (or up if I decide to change the view inversion in the game).

Test: I tried adjusting each of the settings that modify the view inputs, removing them all, testing, then one by one. I tried restarting the game, turning off the keyboard and mouse, changing the keyboard and mouse. But nothing works, still the same problem.

Hypothesis: No matter where I am in the game or at the shooting range, when I launch, the view is directed straight ahead, then immediately, the character ‘registers’ a constant input downwards and gradually descends until it hits its legs (in 1 second) and it is impossible to move up or down, only left and right.

Best regards, Tom

  • Hello, everyone, after testing last night, I can confirm that the problem has been resolved.

I have a sim racing pedal set, which was registering a constant input downwards to the left. However, when I unplugged it, the view remained downwards, so I also had to unplug the haptic feedback motors (Simagic P-HPR for those who are interested), which were registering a continuous downward input. I was able to see the controllers that were currently connected by pressing Win + R, then entering the command ‘Joy.cpl’. Unplug everything and it should work.

I just found this post. It could potentially be due to another controller (joystick or other device). Since I have a pedal set and a sim racing wheel, I will try disconnecting everything tonight to test it. I will come back here to confirm whether the bug has been resolved or reproduced to help the developers (this has never happened to me with any games in three years of sim racing constantly connected to my PC).
