Well, I fixed my problem, it was on my end. Specifically my issue was that there was a router setting on my Synology router in Security > Network Protection, specifically "Threat Intelligence database" that was turned on and was mistakenly blocking an authentication process of some kind in the game's loading screen.
The issue could be fixed simply by ticking "Threat Intelligence database" off, but what I have noticed, is that the automatic updates for that database in my router specifically were turned off and were about 4 years outdated, updating them fixed my issue without having to turn the protection off.
Maybe I can help a poor soul that encounters a similar problem as me and saves them 10 hours of hopeless troubleshooting, like I had to do.
