Damage Indicator & Source Info Not Matching Gameplay – Video Evidence

I enabled one of the HUD options that shows incoming damage and its source, but after reviewing some footage, I noticed a few inconsistencies between what’s displayed and what actually happens in-game.

Example 1:

  • The damage indicator shows I was hit for 69.95, but it was still a fatal shot, even though I was at full health.
  • Additionally, it shows I damaged myself for nearly 200 immediately upon spawning, which doesn’t make sense.

Example 2:

  • I took four shots total, none of which add up to 100 damage, yet it still resulted in a fatal hit.

I might be misinterpreting the data shown, but I figured it was worth reporting in case it’s a bug or display issue.

The attached clip includes both instances mentioned above.

    I am also dying faster than the fastest weapon TTK in the game, so there is some type of server-client desync going on.

    On the flip side, not all my visual hits are counting as hits against the enemy. So it is the same problem being experienced from both perspectives. Whatever it is, they really need to fix it because if the servers are running at 60Hz, the game should not feel this bad compared to BF2042 running at 45Hz.

  • The math is not adding up. The names in both damage logs do not match.

    Looks broken to me.

    The 2nd death clearly shows 4 hits, and not a total of 100%. That is how most of my deaths are, and they are super fast, to the point where I only get 2-3 shots off before I am dead.

    The only thing I can think of is there is something bugged with aim assist/controller and the first shot multiplier. Basically the server is deducting the first shot damage from you without you even being hit, then deducting the rest of the shots from that number, which results in a death that is less than 100% and in most cases 4 shots when for most weapons without a H/S, it would take 5 hits to kill you.
