Got the same error, for me it worked to restart my pc, reinstall the latest graphicscar-driver and after this repair your game via the ea launcher. It downloaded 53mb and since that I can play again.
Try to reduce the monitor's hertz to a minimum and try to launch it, then in the game itself, when the battle begins, you can set it to the maximum and play calmly, it helped me

I have the same one. Still trying to find a fix. It happens randomly as well.
The following steps I have already tried:- Updated graphics drivers (even did a clean install)
- Updated other drivers that is related to AMD
- Verified game files
- Put graphics to balanced and low settings and made it performance level instead.
- Run on Direct X 11
- Deleted Battlefield 2042 folder and uninstalled the game too
- Even updated Bios
Hopefully someone has a fix for this.
same, any solution?
try this method:
In-game settings : Screen space AO = DISABLED (This is precisely what finally fixed it)
Other in-game parameters that might have contributed : Any frame generation/upscaling related techs (FSR, DLSS, etc.) are disabled, motion blur options are disabled. No particular restriction on the other parameters.
Don't forget to verify the game files after the changing your settings. It usually detects 3 errors and I suspect doing this clears the cache of the game.- 3d2faebf4bca96c9 days agoSeasoned Newcomer
Hello,
I’m encountering a recurring crash in Battlefield 6 with the following DirectX error:
DirectX function "m_computeCommandQueuePlat->Wait(m_submitFencePlat.Get(), fence - 1)" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred.").
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
Driver: 58088 (latest Game Ready Driver 580.97 tested – still occurs)
File: D:\dev\TnT\Code\Packages\RenderCore2\RenderCore2\dev\source\platform\Dx12\SubmissionManagerDx12.cppDeviceRemovedReason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET ("The device failed due to a badly formed command. This is a run-time issue; the application should destroy and recreate the device.").
System Specs:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
- Driver: Game Ready Driver – 580.97 (08/12/2025)
- Resizable BAR: Disabled
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D (16-Core)
- RAM: 32 GB DDR5
- OS: Windows 10 Pro (10.0.19045)
- DirectX Runtime: DirectX 12
When it happens:
- When I try to open the game.
- Appears related to VRAM usage spikes or driver timeout.
Troubleshooting attempted:
- Clean driver reinstall (latest Game Ready 580.97).
- Verified no GPU overclock.
Request:
Please investigate if this is a known VRAM allocation or DirectX 12 submission queue handling issue in BF6. I can provide additional logs or performance captures if required.Thanks.

I keep getting a crash with this error when entering the lobby.
I had the same crash before — I managed to fix it back then after trying many things, such as cleaning the registry, clearing the shader cache, and updating my drivers. However, I’m not sure which of these actions actually solved the problem.Current GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
Error message:
DirectX function "m_submitFencePlat->GetCompletedValue0" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080", Driver: 58097.
D:\dev\TnT\Code\Packages\RenderCore2\RenderCore2\dev\source\platform\Dx12\SubmissionManagerDx12.cpp
This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.
DeviceRemovedReason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). - Gamificationbro9 days agoSeasoned Newcomer
I also get the same problem, I was really hoping it would get fixed by weekend 2 but I guess not.
My fix is setting performance to custom and then set graphics to low, then switch back and forth between borderless and fullscreen, make sure to apply each time you switch, I usually switch a couple times, then ill restart the game and then go into firing range and out and then i can play, Its annoying but works for me, just have to do that every single time I play, hope its fixed by release.
