Menu Navigation Broken by Forced Left/Up Input and Icon Glitch

The control icons will flash with Controller buttons instead of Keyboard keys at random until I click or move with my mouse and will do the Left and/or Up input uncontrollably when it happens. It happens again not even seconds after I click and even when I still plug in a controller it still is unresponsive and continues acting up. It's impossible to navigate the menu unless I am constantly moving my mouse or giving the game an input. I notice that the controller icon part isn't even mandatory and the forced input happens whether they show up or not. 

On top of all this, I had the exact same issue with the Skate Pre Alpha aswell and cant find a solution or anyone talking about it.
