Game freezes randomly (might be due to dual monitor)

My game would freeze randomly every time during a game session. Sometimes the game lasts for 1-2 hours, sometimes it lasts for 30 minutes, and then it freezes and becomes unresponsive (ALT + F4 does not even work). It may be due to a dual-monitor setup, as it appears that every time it freezes, I am in the settings menu and the mouse cursor slides to my second monitor, which causes the game to freeze.
