I have the same problem. It only goes away when I turn off the entire HUD. And I don't want that.
Yea I didn't even bother testing that as I assume it would result in that, meaning I cannot play the game because disable hud disabled some required elements or something (EA games have in the past disabled scopes as part of the entire "hud" which is insane).
