Intel CPU Frametime

I am currently getting CPU frametime spikes every couple of minutes that show themselves as a big stutter in the conquest mode. In the domination mode, with the smaller maps, the game seems to run fine for the most part other than the almost 90% CPU usage which I find a bit extreme. Other than the spike every couple of minutes the game runs very smooth in 4k everything Ultra (about 140-160fps with dlss quality)

Specs: 13700KF, 4090, 32GB DDR5 5600MHz

I downloaded the game on a fresh Windows install with no other software running in the background and all of the drivers and BIOS up to date.

I also checked if it‘s because of my CPU undervolt and reset everything in BIOS to default but I‘m still having the same issue.

If anyone has a potential fix please let me know. I currently play on Steam, so it‘s not the known EA bug.

  • Yup I’m having the same issue. Runs smooth then a big frame time spike, rubber band feeling out of no where.  Not sure if it’s hardware or the game, majority of my other games run smooth.

  • Did you figure it out? I’m almost running the same setup in 4k, I tried 4k native because dlss quality was hitting my cpu even harder. I turned my undervolt off for intel 14700kf as well and still had the huge rubber band frame time spike randomly every few minutes or so. Going to try turning down ram speed 7200 to auto and see if that fixes anything and also going to try turning rebar on in the bios. It’s weird because other than that it’s smooth.

i have this same issue, running a 4090 with 9800x3d. Domination and King of the Hill runs fine. But conquest and breakthrough with the big maps i am having also a big stutter every few minutes. Really annoying

  • So far I wasn‘t able to fix it but its good to know it happens to other people with strong specs as well. Maybe its an engine optimization problem. Will post here if I find something out.

Yeah i will do either. I think it is a engine optimization problem (at least i hope). I will do post if i have a solution :)

I tried turning down ram speed, changing ram sticks, removed undervolts both cpu and gpu. CPU usage is very high but not seeing it hit 100% usage on any core. Still have the huge frame time spike every few minutes especially on the maps Iberian offensive and siege of Cairo (believe those are the most cpu intensive), doesn’t happen often in liberation peak. Game runs perfectly smooth besides that huge frame time spike. Was trying to watch benchmark videos with those playing with 5090/4090 at 4k and seeing if they were experiencing the same issues lol
