Anyone else notice while playing as support or recon, that when you deploy a shield or respawn beacon, sometimes it's invisible? The shield won't provide any protection, and be invisible, but will still show as having been used. Reswpawn becon shows placed, but invisible and won't allow spawning. PC
What you're saying could be a bug but I believe what is actually happening is the deployable isnt being fully placed before your camera moves which causes it to despawn since you're placing somewhere it cant actually be. The same concept exists when using defibrillators on support, if you look away, even if you are close, the revive wont happen.
I thought that might be the case too. I've had deployment problems with all the gadgets. Tried being very careful and standing very still on flat ground, and it still would "waste" the gadget.
I have this issues. It's definitely a bug as my deployable reuse timer kicks in and my deployed cover isn't visible to me or my squad mates.
Tried it at hq on Friday ground with a white marker. And occasionally it is just doesn't appear.
I've never personally had any issues when i've taken my time to place something but considering alot of the other random bugs I'm wouldnt be surprised thats one of them
I was very consciously slowly and carefully trying to place my respawn beacon multiple times tonight without moving my camera and still had the cooldown get wasted and the beacon not appear. This was after cautioning my party members in discord to be deliberate about placing the beacon or else exactly that would happen, lol. Very frustrating.
I imagine it is frustrating, I didn't realize this was more of an issue with week two since I havent played much of it! I've started to see more people talk about it after this post so it's probably more prevalent than I thought
Maybe they tried to fix it in a way which caused more issues instead? Who knows lol
