Quit To Menu/Party Joining

I'm sure it's been discussed before but from time to time, I can't Quit To Menu. I get stuck in either a new game or the end screen. The only way to resolve the issue is to Alt+Tab to Windows and End Task the game and run the game again. Very frustrating.

Party joining seems to be an ongoing issue. Sometimes I can't join friends even though we are both online. Game restart is the only fix.
