Is your RAM single or dual channel? This is also happening to me and several other players, and I noticed one thing: they all have single-channel RAM, so that must be the problem.

Mine is dual channel, so that's not it unfortunately

POTENTIAL FIX: This (setting up RAM for dual channel) was the fix for my buddy! He "had" dual channel memory supported by the board, but the sticks were directly next to each other (not utilizing the dual channel functionality). He had tried everything else he could think of: changing memory config in bios, updating drivers, etc. After placing sticks in the proper slots to enable dual channel it fixed the issue for him.
