Same thing happened to me. I played Battlefield One years ago on an Xbox. I'm on PS5 now and signed up for the BF6 beta and got a message that my EA account was out of date. So, I created a new password and was able to play several BF6 games on Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning I had an email that I was banned with no explanation. And no, I don't use any cheats or devices. I do have a DualSense Edge, but that's an official Sony product.
Personally, they'll either unban me or they won't. I haven't played any EA games in almost a decade, if I can't play BF6, I'm not going to sweat it and save myself $100.
Yeah, I mean I had to adjust my account as mine was out of date too, and I also played a few games, and then awoke to a ban the next day, but the only difference is I am a somewhat fan of the EA games and play them somewhat frequently. I'm a big fan of Need for Speed, despite their somewhat goofiness, as well as NHL and other sports games. If I'm banned permanently, as much as I would like to say "Oh I'll get over it", I can't say I will, because this ban effectively cuts out a quarter of my game catalog.
