PC – Auto Sprint cancels prone position when moving forward (non double-tap)

Problem description
When Auto Sprint is enabled (so that I always sprint when moving forward, without needing to double-tap or hold a separate sprint key), my character automatically stands up and sprint whenever I press forward (W) while prone, even if I just want to crawl.
This behavior contradicts the expected one: when prone, moving forward should only crawl, without canceling the prone position.
Note on expected behavior:
I do not want to use “Double Tap Forward to Sprint” because it feels unintuitive. I only want normal Auto Sprint: when I move forward, I automatically sprint, but this should not override my prone state.
Reproduction steps
Launch Battlefield 6 on PC.
Enable Auto Sprint in Settings (so forward movement always triggers sprint, without double-tap or extra key).
Enter a match (e.g., Main, Battle Royale, or any multiplayer mode).
Get into prone position.
Press W (or forward key) to move while prone.
Observed result:
The character immediately stands up and sprint, instead of staying prone and crawling.
Expected behavior
When prone, moving forward (W) should only crawl, without canceling the prone stance.
Auto Sprint should be:
temporarily disabled when the character is prone, or
configurable to not force sprint while prone.
Ideally, add a new option:
“Disable Auto Sprint While Prone”.
Impact on gameplay
This makes tactical gameplay much harder: you cannot move forward on the ground without standing up again.
This behavior is new: in previous Battlefield titles, moving forward while prone did not force the character to stand, even with Auto Sprint / Stick Forward Sprint.
This reduces variety in positioning and tactical options (more “all sprint and stand” gameplay).
Also, forcing players to use “Double Tap” to avoid this issue is not intuitive and negatively affects the user experience.
Requested fix
Add an exception in the Auto Sprint logic so that moving forward does not cancel prone, even when Auto Sprint is always active (no double-tap).
Or add a new setting:
“Disable Auto Sprint While Prone” in the Controls / Accessibility settings.
Ensure that standing up while prone + moving forward only happens when the player explicitly presses the stand / prone key to leave prone.
