BF6 Helicopters: Great Sensitivity, Weak Lift & Low Survivability

Hey everyone, long-time Battlefield player here. I have been flying helicopters since BF3 and BF4 and often survived entire rounds in the Apache. After time in the BF6 beta, here are my concrete issues.

SENSITIVITY AND CONTROLS
After raising aircraft/heli sensitivities to roughly 85-95, yaw and pitch feel snappy again, close to BF4 reflexes. However, collective lift (upward thrust) feels sluggish; even at max input there is a noticeable delay before gaining altitude. This undermines quick pop-up vertical moves we used in BF3 and BF4 and hurts close air engagements, because that split second delay often loses the duel, and hit-and-run passes become harder since breaking line of sight vertically takes too long.

SURVIVABILITY
Compared to BF3 and BF4, BF6 helicopters feel much more fragile. There are more simultaneous lock-on sources (portable AA, vehicle AA, stationary AA, drones). Effective armor/resistance feels lower so two to three good hits can end the run. Maps provide less hard cover to disengage safely.

Result: Staying in the air for more than two to three engagements without retreat is difficult even for experienced pilots.

SUGGESTIONS

  1. Improve lift responsiveness by reducing the spool-up delay on collective so vertical repositioning is quicker.
  2. Slightly increase HP or resistance to lock-ons, or lengthen the interval between consecutive locks.
  3. Add more tall structures or terrain features so smart flying and positioning are rewarded.

Air does not have to be overpowered, but right now helicopters cannot fully leverage skill-based movement like in earlier Battlefield titles. The ceiling exists in pitch and yaw, yet lift responsiveness and survivability hold it back.

I would love to hear other pilots' experiences and whether DICE is looking into these aspects.
