The current TTK/BTK is (almost) perfect [w/ supporting gameplay video

Great job with the time-to-kill and bullet-to-kill values! I think these values are currently in a very good place, and only need to be tweaked slightly (at least for ARs, carbines and SMGs). I am specifically referring to the minimum (fastest) theoretical TTK values here; effective time it takes to down someone will obviously be influenced by a bunch of other factors, including, accuracy, weapon bloom and hit registration.
The current TTK is ideal because it increases the skill ceiling in a number of ways:
- It is long enough, especially at range, to ensure that good recoil control is needed to effectively down a target;
- TTK is adequately long to make accuracy essential, because the progressively increasing bloom means that you will only down a target effectively if you hit your shots soon after you start firing;
- Reasonable counter-play is possible, so the outcome of a gunfight is more strongly affected by firing skills, rather than camping skills;
While at the same time, TTK is fast enough to allow someone to fairly easily down 2-3 enemies with a single 30-round magazine at close-mid to medium range.
There have been some vocal players on the forums complaining about the TTK being too long. I believe those players are mistaken and confused; they fail to distinguish between the theoretical and effective TTK values described above. For instance, bad aim will make the theoretical TTK seemingly super long, because bad accuracy is punishing in this game. Bad connection/ hit reg will produce the same effect.
I compiled a few clips (w/ slo-mos) from my gameplay demonstrating that the TTK/BTK values are currently pretty good. I use a PS5 controller with snap aim assist turned OFF and my aim is currently far from perfect (still busy tweaking all the settings). Here's the video: https://youtu.be/ghaQL9txz48
First few clips show mostly close and close-mid range encounters. Some medium range and single-fire action towards the end. I was using ARs exclusively in that gameplay and it looks like the BTK value is: 3-4, close range; 4-5, medium range; 6-8, far-medium range.
I think those values make sense, for the most part; I would slightly reduce damage fall off at range (75-100 m). and make the TTK a tad slower at close range (you do not have any time to react in certain close encounters).
Furthermore, I think bloom needs to be toned down a bit, perhaps at the expense of increased vertical reoil.
