Banned Without Reason
Before anyone gets upset again, because my previous post apparently rubbed someone the wrong way, I'm keeping this one a bit more gentle for the faint-hearted. 😅
So, it's been 9 days since Battlefield 6 launched, and hundreds of legitimate players are still locked out of the game because of what appears to be false bans triggered by anti-cheat system.
Many of these players are long-time supporters, some even playtesters, parents and veterans who've spent thousands of hours across every Battlefield title. Yet here we are, banned without explanation, with empty penalty histories and only automated replies telling us to "open a new case".
I'm not asking for miracles, just acknowledgment.
Why can't EA simply say: "We see the issue and we're investigating."?
That alone would already show respect for the community.
There's a top-voted bug report with hundreds of replies and upvotes, and still no visible engagement from the official team. People are frustrated not only because of the bans, but because of the silence.
If certain software is known to trigger false detections, then please communicate it clearly, even a small startup warning like "This sofware may interfere with Battlefield 6's anti-cheat" would prevent so much confusion and disappointment.
To be clear, we're not talking about cheating tools. We're talking about common, harmless programs that millions of gamers simply have installed on their PCs, things like Logitech G HUB, MSI Afterburner, RGB lightning software etc.
If the anti-cheat system mistakenly flags those, the least EA could do is warn players before banning them.
Also for those jumping in with "haha, one less cheater" comments, please stop.
This isn't just about a few accounts, it's about trust. When players can't even feel safe logging into a new Battlefield after supporting the franchise for years, something is seriously wrong.
King regards,
Lev - still your loyal (and currently banned) customer. 🙂
