Re: Give PC Players The Ability To Disable Crossplay

I don't want to play with players that have an advantage and auto aim.  How is that so hard to understand EA?  Does the olympics put men and women together?  Special olympics and regular olympians together?  How about weightlifting?  Do they put natural and those that use steroids together?  No.  And there's a good reason.  I don't want to play with them, and a good percentage of them are using hardware cheats.  I want the old school battlefield experience where everyone is playing for themselves.

As a PC player I physically cringe when I see others complain about people with a worse control scheme. Autoaim or not, they are still using a controller.

Go ahead and cringe.  I bet you use controller on pc as well (like most do).  If they get rid of all of that, they can easily ban all of the hardware cheaters.  Right now, the excuse is "well it's probably just aim-assist" and we all know it's not.  If aim-assist goes away, it allows the banning of cheaters.  Of course, it's obvious EA doesn't want to ban cheaters so it's probably a moot point.  But if button mashers go away, then people actually playing the game can enjoy a relatively cheat free game.

"I bet you use controller on pc as well (like most do)" - that's plainly not true. And controller on pc doesn't have aimbot, it's only on console.

PC has the same controller support as console.

which is why as i've said here and elsewhere there's a growing percentage of pc players moving over to using controller.

On PC at least there should be absolutely no controller assist at all.

Fine I can begrudgingly put up with consoles having some level of assist BUT ONLY IF PC PLAYERS CAN CHOOSE WEATHER OR NOT TO PLAY WITH CONSOLE USERS!!!

They are not going to get rid of aim assist on PC. They are not going to remove crossplay. This conversation is just pointless and the mods really should just lock the thread already.

Then someone will just open another thread.

Also we used to be able to turn off crossplay on PC but the developers patched it so it's clearly possible the developers just have a weird hatred towards PC users.

If you don't like the conversation stop commenting on it.

    The solution is simple.

Allow PC to once again enable/disable crossplay.

The mods also keep refusing to comment on the PC aspect of crossplay but are happy to comment on console crossplay aspect of it so it shows clear favoritism towards console.

For sure cross-play is here to stay, but they could at least make it optional for PC players, instead of FORCING it on us. Same with that lame controller BS, if a player doesn't want that nonsense polluting their game, there should be an option to avoid it. This is why an input-based matchmaking option should also be available. But I seriously doubt we'll get that option, which is really a shame. Giving players the options for how they'd like to play the game and with who they'd like to play with would make a lot more players happy. All you have to do is read the many posts on here and Reddit from both console and PC players who hate cross-play. Same with the two inputs. Many hate playing against M&K, while some hate playing against controller. Give these players the options to play the game as they wish. And you can play as you wish.

I'll do just like the others and get on console, plug in hardware cheats and have macro assist auto spotting and aiming for me.  millions of cheating devices sold for consoles and EA does nothing about them.  They were banned for all of 2 days on launch before a fix was in.  No update since then.

    That's never going to happen.
