Re: I was just banned in BF6

Before I begin, I want to make it clear that I am among those who have been unfairly banned. I fully support the movement against cheating, and I stand firmly behind the principle that anyone who cheats or seeks an unfair advantage should be removed from the game. However, far too many legitimate players are being caught in the crossfire due to the anti-cheat system EA is currently using.

Each month, Battlefield 6 is losing more than 100,000 players. While the overall player base remains strong for now, the rate of decline is deeply concerning. I want this anti-cheat initiative to succeed, so much so that I’ve even accepted the loss of my own account as part of the growing pains of improving the system. But if this software continues to ban players on the slightest suspicion, without properly considering the complexity and variety of software the average PC user runs, then my sacrifice—and the sacrifices of many others, will have been in vain.

Your view of the world is a bit twisted.
How do you come to the conclusion that player numbers are dropping because people are getting banned? It’s more like people just don’t feel like playing the game anymore because the patches keep making it worse.

I think you may have misunderstood what I’m saying. I’m not claiming that bans are the only reason for the decline, patch quality and gameplay issues absolutely play a role. However, the scale of the bans cannot simply be dismissed.

When millions of accounts have been banned, and a significant number of those bans appear to be wrongful, it naturally contributes to player loss. Even if only a fraction of those players leave permanently, it still impacts the overall numbers.

So the point isn’t that the bans are the sole cause, but that they’re a major contributing factor, alongside balance changes, patches, and general player dissatisfaction. It’s a combination of issues, and the anti-cheat situation is undeniably one of them.
