Crossplay chat not working

It seems in game chat is not working properly in BF6. I had a crossplay (PC/PS5) session with a friend but the party chat mode didn't work. We couldn't hear eachother while we where in a squad in redsec battle royale. squad chat mode did work, but only while playing. It didn't work while spectating. More people had this issue?
