Pre-ordered BF6 through EA - locked out on launch day, refund stuck, no access

Hi there, So.. i pre-ordered Battlefield 6 directly through EA - thinking that would give me the smoothest experience at launch. Unfortunately, it's been the opposite. I was hyped, sitting at my PC...

Apparently those who suffered this have been given a free season pass (for season 2 if you already have season 1) and a handful of XP boosts. JackFrag was given 15 of each type of boost. Me, I sat trying to load the game from the EA app for at least a couple of hours and got nothing!
