Re: Battlefield 6 won’t launch — EA Anti-Cheat never initializes, repeated BSODs

I have over 410 hrs in this game and invested money into items and im starting to lose interest as the game constantly crashes, BSOD saying cause was EA anti cheat sys.

I need a fix now, I have tried so much recommended in other spaces but nothing works now, its gotten worse with updates. The new driver from Nvidia made it even worse so I had to roll it back.

If you want my money and dedication, please give me a fix.

And continued BSOD after 5 mins, just constant, I literally cant play. Can I get some help before I give up on the game and stop investing time and money into it?

Another day, 5 blue screens so far, managed 10 mins playing, blue screen, restart, blue screen during loading. Theres no consistency, I keep trying different fixes but nothing helps. This is terrible. Lvl 435 in game, still spending money on items, but Id say that wont last long as this game is just unplayable. Can play for short stints, but if i didnt persevere like i have, I would have quit a long time ago.

I don't say this will 100% fix your game but I had to uninstall entire game AND delete the BF6 folder under documents because that was weirdly enough NOT uninstalled for some F'd up reason. I turned of my PC for a minute and switched it on again. Reinstalled the game and did a "check integrity" crap thingie just to be sure.

After that my game works "perfectly" apart from the very bad hit detection even though I'm on fiber with decent ping.

And, I did not lose any progress doing the above. That was a real relief. ;)

In your shoes I would do this just to see if resolves your problems. Good luck, hope you get it to work!!

Since posting this, another 4 BSOD, restarts along with game start up Direct X errors, this is so ridiculous and unbelievable, games worked better 15 years ago!

Have you tried direct x reinstall?

Could be some faulty files in your systemsetup?

following and also just posted another discussion on this same topic. this started about a week ago and the game has been unplayable. I've been in contact with EA support and the troubleshooting tips they have provided so far HAVE NOT WORKED. Seems like they need to patch something in the anticheat

ALL i think i have found a fix but it requires flashing your motherboard bios which is ridiculous. i have been able to keep battlefield 6 running today as a result

**bleep** that seems crazy to need to do for a game. I’ll give it a try when I get home and let you know if it helps. I tried two games just before, 2 BSOD.

The beta ran fine (well except for the mouse problems / stuttering) so I thought well I will buy it, because thats for sure a small problem and will be fixed in the full game. Well, it was not fixed until now. Bit with season 1 you even introduced the random Crashes, so I have had enough now. This is the first ever Battlefield Game in my life I just uninstalled. After over 400 hours playtime. I just could not stand it anymore what you have done to my beloved game series. MAYBE I will reinstall again when I read here that the crashes and mouse problems have been fixed.

correct, It looks like this issue is directly related to EA AntiCheat running at kernel level and being extremely invasive. Since it operates at the highest OS privilege, any bug or wrong assumption about memory/CPU/firmware behavior can crash the entire system instead of just the game.

Important note: flashing the BIOS properly required using a USB flash drive and the motherboard’s BIOS flash utility (not a Windows-based update). This is a low-level firmware operation that most users will never attempt or even be aware of.

Ok all, I tried everything, and the FIX that SOLVED the problem for me is INSTALLING INTEL EXTREME TUNING UTILITY AND REDUCING YOUR PERFORMANCE CORE RATIO TO 54X. I have played it uninterrupted for 24 hours.

Goodluck all you wonderful people that have helped and that are still trying, dont be scared about doing this change, its easy and has no issues with it. Love goes out to all the people still struggling, hope this works or you find what does.

EA needs to do better in every regard, poor support, poor game if its released and updated like this.
