Actually, I have two accounts — one in Bronze and one in Gold. During the event, I tried queuing on both accounts, but neither could successfully enter a match.

If after the June 30th update, the rule for rank difference in matchmaking was changed from lenient to much stricter, that would actually explain why people keep failing to get into match.

I hope the development team can come up with a new solution or rule that players in regions with fewer people playing Ranked can still enter a match.

In Season 3, our initial Ranked bands did not deliver the experience we originally intended, so we adjusted our matchmaking rules to better support queue health while the team continued working on long-term improvements.

Unfortunately, nothing has been done to fix it.Before the Wet Work update, every time we searched for a Ranked Battle Royale match, we could find a game quickly. Speaking honestly, from my side, I would also appreciate greater transparency when players ask for answers. It would make these conversations easier for everyone.

What I can say is that the team is aware of the reports and is monitoring the relevant data. Based on the information I currently have, the matchmaking rules are working as intended, but the available player population in certain regions, time windows, and rank ranges may not be enough to form valid Ranked matches.

I know that does not make the experience any less frustrating. I’m still waiting to see whether there will be any further updates or information that can be shared, and I’ll continue passing along the impact this is having on Asian/Australian players.

I’ve also noticed the community efforts to organize queue attempts, and I’ve made the team aware of those reports.

But based on what has been shared so far, the reason they are prevented from queuing together appears to be their rank difference.

You can still enter the queue, but that does not necessarily mean the matchmaking system will be able to form a valid match if the available players do not meet the matchmaking rules, as mentioned in the marked reply.

I understand this is frustrating, especially when players are actively trying to help test or get matches started. I’ll continue passing this feedback along.

Is it possible that there's something wrong with the matchmaking system itself, preventing players from even joining queues properly? A lack of matchmaking population might just be the result, not the root cause.

Yesterday on Discord, players organized a coordinated queue event at 20:00 SGT, and I can't believe there were fewer than 100 people at this point.

Before the June 30 update, players could consistently find Ranked Mode matches within about two minutes every day between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM. However, since the update, not a single Ranked match has been found. If this isn't caused by a bug, doesn't this change seem far too sudden?

Is a Casual Battle Royale mode really enough to kill Ranked Mode?At least among my nearly 100 in-game friends, more players prefer Ranked Battle Royale over Casual Battle Royale.

I can’t believe that the development team has simply brushed aside the issue of the entire Asian region being unable to play ranked mode with an unconvincing excuse. This problem has been ongoing for nearly a month, the only explanation provided was “a lack of matchmaking population” and  no information about specific updates for this yet.

To be honest, I am extremely disappointed with how this has been handled.

I know you’re just a community mod and not in charge of fixing issues. But I wonder, would you also feel this overwhelmed? It’s been nearly a month, and this problem still hasn’t been resolved. Nothing meaningful has even been done about it.

What exactly is your team doing?

It’s a new season. Asian players can’t earn any ranked points. Is none of our data being tracked?

Ranked Battle Royale worked perfectly fine before the 06/30 update.

Is there a possibility that players have moved over to casual Battle Royale since Ranked can't find matches, and that's why the dev team thinks the Ranked player population is insufficient?

Unfortunately, this may be due to a lack of matchmaking population in the regions. 

I’ve raised this again with the team. I don’t have a clear answer or specific update to share right now, but if I receive anything that can be shared, I’ll update the thread.
