Installed via Epic and EA app, I've been getting to the splash -connect to servers screen- and occasionally into a queue, only to hit this error after a couple of seconds. I have tried literally every single troubleshooting tip I can find including:
Full uninstall and reinstall
Log in and out of EA app,
Uninstall graphics drivers
Restart PC
Firewall cahnges
VPN
Any help please.....

I spoke to EA chat, he said it's a known error and that the team were working on a fix but gave no indication or timeline for resolution... That's all I could get.
Unbelieveable you pay and can't even play and they don't know why :(
And it was working before.
I think it has to do with the fact I unlinked my EA account, that or they tried to merge my 2 accounts, but they definitely f'd us
Yes indeed possibly, that whole link thing is an absolute nightmare to deal with, I tried merging two ea accounts ages back but gave up it was so convoluted and difficult.
The guy said the team will resolve it, but the fact its sitting paid for in my epic account, is opening in ea app, but hitting an error in game is extremely annoying.
We better get their apology bonus.......

Just checked in again on chat, to confirm the same story.
Story is it's a widespread and known issue and they are working on it. Still could not give an indication of timeline but should just work automatically one day...
I did manage to confirm that anyone with this error will get that compensation bonus of xp boosters and season pass that battlefield studios tweeted about on launch day, so that's a bonus I guess....

"work automatically one day" I guess that implies its something they have to fix on the back end and wont require a game update

I have played the game for 1 week since the release without problem. And, today, I get this error when I try to log in in the game (xbox series X).

Exactly the same problem for me , i had an update on the game , i am on series x too, and now i can't play ..

EA_Vendcera Hi, I have seen on a separate thread your response to a similar error to the one documented here. I have been in touch with EA chat support but have had no luck. I keep being advised it is something the team is working on but have no evidence that it is something known and actually being addressed.
I have not found any public response to this error, would you be able to shine light on this issue myself and many others here are having?
I have the same problem on Series X with a digital copy, tried everything, but still stuck on this, I could play until 4 days ago.
This must be fixed ASAP!

Interesting that you are on console, I thought it was an Epic thing. Turns out to be bigger than expected. They claim to be working on it but have nothing official on the subject which is extremely annoying.....

I have it on disc on Xbox Series X exact same error won't even bring me in to play campaign
Still no good all. Thought it was an epic/ea app thing but clearly more widespread than that.
Worst part is I can't get a refund from useless epic because I've gone past the two hour runtime for refunds.... Despite not making it into the main menu. What an absolute joke.
Not sure what else to try, it's been nearly two weeks and still nothing on this front.

Just tried this morning, with the new battle royale update happening in the background. Went straight into compiling shaders and I was in.
I didn't do anything new, just started the game via epic and it worked. HOPEFULLY it works as seemlessly for you all.
