Re: BF6 Hitting 100% CPU Usage Causing Lag/Stutter/Latency/Slo-Mo Issues

Hi guys , i hope the team will release an update soon on this so we don't have to look up on google how to optimize things .
Like many other people i have a ryzen 7800x3d and in game it was on 80%-100% usage making my gaming room like a steam room with micro stutters.
i managed to come across a temporary fix with a custom User.cfg file running these commands :

Thread.ProcessorCount 8
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 16

Im amazed this is an old problem and yet the battlefield devolopers team still didn't fix it>
I hope this helps some people out there.

Have you figured out a new solution cause I am having the same issue?

  • There is a workaround: try to switch on XMP/DOCS in BIOS settings. Check youtube how to do it, it's not complicated Btw, you can play on Community Servers - there are no lags on portal servers.

P.S. Please upvote the same issue on bug reports BF6 Lag | EA Forums - 12816292

I just got a new AMD Tuff motherboard booted up BF6 and it was laggy and my guns were sputtering. Then I said oh crap I forgot to turn on D.O.C.P. in the bios. ( NOT AUTO ).  On Intel motherboard its XMP. ( NOT AUTO ). What these setting is make sure your ram is running at the correct speed. Now no more lag or stuttering when I shoot my weapon after I made the bios change!

Suggestion.: If you go in windows boot up the taskbar. goto performance then click on memory. Now on the bottom you can see what speed your ram is running at. Now for AMD motherboards if your ram "ON MOST SYSTEMS the default speed around 2166mhz. If it shows that speed then your ram is NOT running at the correct speed. Now if you want to make sure you running at the correct speed look at you ram stick to make sure the speed is correct. If Not go in the bios and select D.O.C.P. eaither in the main screen or in advance area.

My memory before bios change = 2166  After I set D,O.C.P. in the bios my Ram speed is now 3600mhz. That is the correct speed of my ram stick.

Just a suggestion. Just make sure you check your ram stick speed before you have make the bios change. Then go back into the windows memory area again and you should see the change.

    Hope that helps!

My 32GB RAM (@intel CPU) is at 4800 (dual channel) - but it doesn't help.
