Hello
Ever since I had the latest updates from Microsoft, every time I want to play Battle Field 6, I get the following error message, "Windows version is not supported, Please upgrade the minimum supported version". The only way I can get it to work is by going to the properties section, then to installed files, and then verify this games files are installed correctly. Once I do that and it has gone through the process, the game will work. But I have to do this every time I want to play.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Robert

Hello friend!
If the game works after verifying files, Penguin suspect something in the installation may be getting corrupted or blocked after launch.
Things to check:
1: Ensure Compatibility Mode is Disabled for BF6.exe (Right click BF6.exe, proterties, Compatibility, make sure NO older Windows version is slected.
2: Repair EA AntiCheat. Open Battlefield 6 folder, EAAnticheat, Run the EaAntiCheat.Installer.exe and use the Repair function it provides.
3: Check Windows System Image files files by running these CMD commands individually as Administrator in CMD:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /Scannow
If the issue continues, feel free to share a screenshot of Event VIewer errors around the time the game fails to launch
That way the issue can be further investigated by Penguin and Others

Hello Penquin
Pretty sure repairing the exe files did the trick. Thanks very much for your promptness and suggestions. It was greatly appreciated.

Hello friend!
Thanks for sharing that you experience a similar issue friend, what you describe sounds pretty odd indeed, Penguin suggest you post a screenshot of the Windows Event viewer error log over here, in case any related issues or causes can be identified by Penguin or Others.
Any information can be useful.
Windows + X button 👉 Event Viewer
A solution cannot be guaranteed from this end but it could be helpful in order to try detect what's actually going on, since similar problems seems to affect more players in the community.

How do you repair the game? Im new to pc please help
- Sacs-A-papierS23 days agoSeasoned Newcomer
I guess I was a little premature, that didn't fix the problem. Once I finished playing and shut down the game, about two hours later tried to restart and back to the same original issue. I tried downloading the event files, but it wouldn't let me.

Sorry, finally figured it out. Attached is a warning message in the event log.

Second error message

I tried playing bf6 today, i was slapped with this error. After repairing the game was able to launch the game, then again after closing and trying to relaunch second time. same error. I have secure boot on and BIOS is on UEFI. Not running any antivirus just on vanilla windows defender windows 11.

this worked for me but issue keeps recurring after closing the game and running the second time

I'm having the same issue. I even installed a new Windows update and reinstalled Javlin anti-cheat, but nothing has worked yet.

Hello friend!
Penguin is back in office and currently running out of suggestions, but was thinking, maybe the error is related to Windows 11 version?
Do you by any chance use any of the Early/Beta builds for Windows version? Maybe rolling back those Windows updates might help?
At this point Penguin is just speculating as this error is pretty new over here and definitely not one of the most common earlier issues for Battlefield 6
Keep in mind Penguin support here is not official but fan inspired and wanting Battlefield 6 and EA to get such problems figured out.

its an EA javelin related issue. Since repairing takes alot of time on my side, i hve been uninstalling and reinstalling ea javelin for it to work. This is something totally strange considering dint do any updates not install new software on my pc. Its bery very strange

Hello friend!
Penguin also thinks a lot is pointing towards Javelin EAanticheat indeed. Since running a repair on it temporarily solves the launch issue.
Hopefully a near future patch or update will solve this as it affects many players! 😥
Thanks a lot for confirming this by the way, at least we have achieved gathering more information about what might be going on.
This error has also been sometimes found on PCs with the same problem: 👇This error is usually due to outdated/or driver signatures not being ''accepted'' by Javelin. System Driver updates normally solve that error, but it didn't in the recent cases. (These cases come from direct Discord chats in order to get friends and community members back into the game.)
Many thanks!

Secondary issue, still required repair each game. It appears as though Win 8 compatability was checked on BF6.exe. Unchecking helped. Not sure how it got checked ON in the first place...

Hello friends! SOLUTION 🎂
Thanks for nice BF6 community, Penguin now has a solution to deliver, to many of the recent BF6 game crashes.
Create a new Windows 11 user
Run CMD as admin
net user "UserName" "Password"
/add net localgroup administrators "UserName" /add
Playing the game through new user did work for a user who had trouble launching the game since 3rd March.

Many thanks!

Same here, what a mess this game is. Windows 11. 2070 card
- Game90PL21 days agoNew Spectator
Same issue on my device since last update. Windows and BIOS up to date, secure boot active, did all the cmd and repair steps mentioned above.
Currently installing the newest nvidia driver as i had the hotfix version, could be javelin having issues with it
Edit: Nope, still same issue with newest driver. Event logs mention an error of EAAntiCheatService, so i think we know the reason. Both services get disabled in my services tab when i start the game due to an error mentioned in the log. After setting them back to startup automatic and trying to start them i get an error 87
Reinstalling the EAAntiCheatService as mentioned above fixes the problem until i close the game.Best part, the EAAntiCheatService is still inactive under services even though the game runs :D
EA, fix this

With the help of autoruns i found out:
File not found: eaanticheat.sys
system32\drivers\eaanticheat.sys
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EAAntiCheat
Seems like it got removed or corrupted
Dunno if its something old or the reason we have those issues now
Removed the entries, no fix
