You’ve learned nothing from your past mistakes.
Honestly you still can’t take responsibility for your mistakes.
You keep making false promises, just like at the launch of 2042 when you announced big changes to attract purist players. In the end more than three quarters of those promises were never kept. Here’s why point by point.
1. The false promise of freedom and verticality. You promised more freedom and verticality but in reality you did the exact opposite. On Cairo you removed rooftop access completely destroying the strategic layer of the map. And all of that just to please a part of the Call of Duty community who let’s be honest probably won’t even stay on the game. Same thing on Peak of Liberation where the side mountains and the central ridge near point C are now inaccessible.
These changes made the gameplay flat and shallow with no tactical maneuvering possible. It’s now just a frontal rush game with no strategy where any attempt at a different approach is impossible.
2. The spawn beacon removed from snipers. You removed the spawn beacon from the sniper class and gave it to the assault class. Result even more spawn killing.
Since assault players are supposed to be on the front line many place their beacons right in the middle of the action causing teammates to spawn directly under enemy fire.
It’s an illogical decision that completely breaks gameplay balance and removes one of the few tactical tools snipers had.
3. The absurd limitations of Portal mode. The Portal mode still lacks essential options and logic. You can’t adjust weapon or vehicle damage individually.
The Extreme mode is poorly designed health regeneration for soldiers and vehicles is mandatory even though that goes against the whole hardcore concept.
The option to remove the crosshair when not aiming is a good idea except that it also removes the crosshair when aiming whether as a co pilot gunner airplane or helicopter making those roles almost useless.
4. Portal servers unstable and poorly managed. Same issue as in BF2042 server management is a disaster.
Hosting is unreliable the message global game quota exceeded our servers are currently full appears constantly. When the server empties the ping skyrockets yesterday it was 26 ms today it went over 90 ms. The persistent server option is useless I checked yes but couldn’t reconnect to my own server the next day.
And still no mass invite system when the server finally decides to open we have to invite every friend manually one by one.
It’s slow outdated and frustrating for a modern multiplayer game. It’s time to bring back paid servers like before.
Paid servers guaranteed stability control and reliability because the owner had proper management rights and a dedicated instance.
Today free servers are overloaded unstable and inconsistent which punishes players who want to build serious or long term experiences. Another major issue any player can host our Portal experiences without our consent.
That means people can take our creations host them under their own name or even modify our rules completely ruining our work. It’s unacceptable and many creators have been reporting this for months with no response.
The original creator should have full control over their content just like in previous Battlefield titles.
Conclusion.
All these decisions go against your original promises. Less freedom and verticality. Illogical and unbalanced mechanics. Unstable and poorly managed servers. No improvement for dedicated creators or serious players.
And the worst part is that more and more players are complaining about these same issues on forums Discord and Reddit. If nothing changes you will repeat exactly the same scenario as BF2042 a game that slowly lost its player base due to broken promises and a lack of listening.
