-30 fps drop every single time I move my mouse, no matter the settings

What the title says. I have tried everything.

* Video settings from low to ultra

* 100% all the way to 1% rendering res.

* Resolution from 1080p to lowest.

* V-sync on/off

* Restarting computer

* Done system clean up

* Updated graphics card driver and done a clean install

* Made sure Nvidia control panel settings aren't messing up my game

* Adding these to user.cfg:

Thread.MaxProcessorCount 4
RenderDevice.VSyncEnable 0
RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 2
RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0
GameTime.MaxVariableFPS 60

* Reset in-game graphic settings

However, as soon as I put the process affinity to "Large", the frame drops clear out and I have steady 60 fps, but my mouse movement becomes erratic, as in the sensitivity either is very low when i move the mouse slowly or is quick or slow when I move the mouse quickly. If I put the affinity to some other setting, the frame drops get even worse.

Specs:

GTX 960m 2GB VRAM

i5-6300 HQ - 3.20 @GHz

8GB DDR4 RAM

And don't tell me it's because of my computer, I was able to run it somewhat fine before until today.

  • I managed to fix it by disabling Origin and Discord overlays. I also removed the settings ini file but not sure if it had any impact or not.

    I still get hitching here and there if I do not have v-sync on with unlimited fps (with those on, I get input lag a lot) but it's not something I can't cope with. And don't think I can fix it without buying a new rig.

  • Can you also try to reset your settings by deleting PROFSAVE_profile file in My Documents>>Battlefield 1>>Settings folder?
