This is an outdated method, please try the following workaround from the community member MorningTimeCloud:
1. Turn off Playstation 3.
2. Hold The power button down; The system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.
7. Select Restore File System.

I already tried the recovery file system on PS3 safe mode Apollo_v7... Didn't work
As said it's only a workaround for the avids fans. After some time (Hours, days, i dont know) playing the same problems returns. For me, after 3 days playing a lot, the crashes returns.
I'm not playing BF4 anymore since the time of the post.

Some players may have their issues fixed by using ERREIK's post. Some / Most may not since this is an older method for a older patch. If this method does not work, Please create your own thread and explain it very thorough of what your issue is and what you have already tried and we will try our best to solve it.
Thanks.
