(0xc000007b) error

Have a nice day! I haven't played bf4 for 3 days and I got an error code out of nowhere, first MSVCP is missing then MSVCR120dll, after I put it in the folder (bf4 then system32)this appeared to me:C++ installers, .NET Framework, origin repair, I even deleted and reinstalled the game, it didn't help, everything else goes, dll files checked, nothing ... guys, I love this game, I have 2100 hours in it, I've never been like this before, I never dig into the windows files, I just play and learn. I read one that if these don’t work, the whole PC has to be reboot, which I don’t want.
Anyone have any tips ?: //

  • msvcp120.dll is a part of Microsoft Visual C++ and is often required for running programs developed with Visual C++.

Some games or applications may need the file in the game/application installation folder. Copying it from Windows systemfolder to the install-folder of the game/application should fix that problem. Make sure to use the 32bit dll-file for 32bit software, and 64bit dll-file for 64bit software.

If it for some reason doesn't work by just replacing the file, you might need to re-install the Microsoft visual C++ Redistributable package which can be found here:

    x86 for 32bit (x86) Windows, x64 for 64bit (x64) Windows. If using a 64bit Windows, install both.

Both programs you mentioned are Visual C components, maybe start there. Something has become corrupt or downloaded incorrectly. This often happens when you download a program  in the background AND continue using the computer while the downloads runs.

    Hi @erreddin_

Have you tried running the Windows System File Checker to see if that helps? If there are missing or corrupted Windows files that could help fix the issue.

For more information on how to run the System File Checker visit the Windows Support website. Let me know if you're still having any trouble after that. Thanks!

    Hi @CAFe-99

That might be an issue with the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables. Try downloading and installing them from the Microsoft Support website and see if that helps with the errors.

Let me know how it goes once you've had the chance to give it a try. Thanks!
