%100 CPU USAGE :/

Firstly I'm using 1080P 75 HZ monitor, Asus R9 290X And I've got 4670K, at this point I want to say I tested with 4.4 Ghz and stock frequencies but battlefield 1 still have %100 CPU USAGE. I tested all resolutions and different settings. It's really annoying actually. I tried a few methods like radeon mod Which I changed flip queue size to 0x3300. It helped little bit. I can play the game but CPU usage is still same. When I see too many explosions my FPS going down 65 - 80 to 20-30 and again rises.
As I said It's really annoying is there any useful solution for this problem ?

Thanks in advance.

Annotation : When the game first released there was no problem and I didn't change anything about my computer.

  • Hey @Cpt-CoffinShaker,

Sorry to hear about this issue you're experiencing.

Unfortunately, Battlefield 1 is a very CPU heavy game, and will definitely chew up as much as possible.

Have you tried turning off the Origin In-Game Overlay in the Origin Launcher Settings?

This is known to cause some FPS issues if enabled.

Also, what is your Frame Rate Limiter set at in the Video/Graphics settings in-game?

If it's set to "unlimited", try changing it to 120 frames or less, depending on what your build can handle.

Let us know if you still need assistance.

    Thank you 🙂

    Thank you for your respond.

Yes I did. I turned off Origin In - Game overlay and nothing changed.

My FPS limit is 200 and when I try to decrease that this time GPU usage is going down :/

I don't believe my cpu is not good for this game. I'm using this CPU since BF 4. Game's min system says  Core i5 6600K but It's not big deal my cpu and that cpu have similar performances. Same Cores and same threads everything is same. And Before I mentioned I did a test with overclock, nothing changed.

    @Cpt-CoffinShaker,

Sorry to hear that you're still experiencing this issue.

Have you also tried lowering your Graphics settings from whichever you're using?

Also, try doing a hard reset on your router, unplug everything for a few minutes and plug it back in.

I do this at least once a month to make sure everything is running smoothly.

There is also going to be another update tomorrow, maybe something will change during this update.

There will be a downtime tomorrow, so check the link below for more information:

    https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/139117/battlefield-1-easter-update-downtime-03272018#latest

Also, the patch notes will be posted once this Update goes live, so keep an eye out on the Battlefield Forums for those.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks 🙂

Hey I have somewhat similar issue. Im running i5 3570k and gtx 970. I get around 90-120 fps, but CPU is at 100% while GPU 50%.

    Found this guide: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3475221/bf1-fps-boost-guide.html

and I think it helped atleast a little bit.

I set the RenderDevice.RenderAheadLimit 2, but that might be different on your setup.

I didnt get rid of 100% CPU usage, but did get higher and more consistent fps.

    Cheers
