4GB Ram

This is a problem for me because I meet all the other requirements but the ram. I DO HAVE 4 GB installed but it wont allow me to play.

Windows says 4bg but only 2.75gb usable...............

The 32-bit versions of Windows actually have a total of four GBs worth of addresses, however, aproximately 800 Mbs of it is reserved to assorted hardware, such as video cards.  The 32-biyt version is particularly uselesss when your video cards have a lot more VRAM than Windows XP machines usually had (more than 512 MBs, for instance), because the additional VRAM's addressing will have first dibs on the available pile of addresses. 

This game only wants 512 Mbs VRAM for certain, which tells me it probably can run in an actual 3.2 GBs of main memory. 

When I go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ to perform a requirments test for BF4, it states I DO NOT have enough ram.

My Specs:

AMD 9850 Quad Core 2.9

Windows 7 Ultimate

4GB ram

Radeon 3870x2

I load the game (campaign) and I get an error:

Directx function "device->createbuffer..............failed with E_invalidARG (invalid parameter was passed to the returning function) GPU: ATI Radeon 3870 x2" Driver 13.9

When I try to enter multiplayer, I get basically same error but it also says not enough allocateed memory and make sure I have a compliant video card (which I DO)

Any idea????

Your HD 3870 X2 probably is soaking up too many of the too few addresses (you probably are running a 32 Bit OS version). 

Yes, I do have 32 but Windows 7 ultimate and the 3870x2 is a 1gb card???????????

I strongly suspect that anyone attempting BF4 in Windows 32 Bit will need to have no more VRAM than the 512 MB mentioned in the minimum requirement. 

MY 3870x2 is a 1GB video card??????
