770M Went from stable 90 FPS to stable 40 FPS without changing any settings

From launch and up until this point, I've had stable 90, from the settings suggested by GeForce Experience, but as of today 06.02, I suddenly have 40 frames and I can't seem to find any information of recent patches that would affect that. I have to set my video settings to all the way down to medium to achieve the same fps.

Did any driver updates or Windows updates happen?

Make sure that your Windows power options are set to High Performance.

Did this only happen when you ran on battery power?

In the nvidia control panel you can specify that your 770M is actually used when you play rather than possibly your mainboard video hardware.

I played without any problems three days ago and I haven't updated any drivers that I can remember since then. Nor can I remember any Windows Updates.

And yes, I have my charger in and my laptop put in High Performance Mode.

Check your Windows Update history, changes can be made automatically.
